I am David Doroquez.
I am currently a fifth-year graduate student in the Department
of Biology at the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology in Cambridge,
Massachusetts. I currently live in the Boston
Metro area with my wife Lesley. We have two wonderful cats--Jolee
and Eek. |

My
interests in graduate school concern cell-to-cell signaling
in development using the fruitfly Drosophila
melanogaster as a model scientific system. I perform
this research in the
Rebay Lab under MIT Biology's Whitehead
Institute for Biomedical Research. |

In
1999, I graduated from Santa Clara
University which is located in Santa Clara, California,
with a Bachelor Science major in Biology.
I also graduated with a minor in Religious
Studies. I grew up in the San
Francisco Bay Area, where I graduated in 1995 from
high school. |
